    Default Full Seat Breech Help

I am starting my dressage career again (was dressage, then hunters and now to dressage again) and I need help finding full seat breeches.

I have a very old (right when they came out) pair of Arista breeches with the leather full seat and love them. I was hoping to find a different brand (maybe not so darn expensive) that has the nice thin full leather seat but also has a comfortable fit.

I hate the breeches with the full seat that is so thick you can hardly walk and also heats you up... I hope this makes sense.

If anyone has suggestions as to kinds I should try, I would really appreciate it.

I personally love Golden Dress. They run a size large (I'm a 28 in Golden Dress, but a 30 in most everything else), but they fit my *ahem* curves well, and are flattering. I find their full seat material to be super flexible BUT they aren't that great for super hot and humid summers, the material of the actual breech is fairly thick.

I concur with FITS... expensive, but worth it.

If you know your size, shop Ebay. THey have some great deals.

My favorites are Arista, Goodfellow, Tropical rider and now Trainers choice.

Leather only for me and I prefer cords to the funky synthetic materials as they don't seem to breathe.

Ovation has a genuine leather full seat breech in both their Euroweave and Microweave fabrics. The full seat part is lined with a thin layer of dri-lex fabric to help keep you from being all sweaty. I am a fan of the euroweave fabric more so. It is stretchy and comfortable without being clingy and is light enough to not melt you in the summer.

I rode in Equissentials for years -- love them -- and then tried FITS. Now they are my favorites. You can't go wrong with either but both can be a little pricey.

    Good luck in your search!

Some of these breeches are good if you are long waisted, if you are not they are definitely not good. The way they fit your body is very important

Spyder - I agree, I really just needed an idea of what ones to try. I figure I will go to the tack store and try on as many as I can because I know sizing has a huge range and I need to know what feels good.

I really appreciate everyones input. At least I have a place to start.

I'm afraid non-expensive yet really good full seat breeches don't exist. I personally like the Pikeur Luganas best.
