Default Just for fun - how long have you been receiving COTH?

Just renewed my subscription today and realized that I've been receiving COTH for 20 consecutive years now. As a junior, I was always floored to see my name/horses names in horse show results. I have kept all the issues that my name has been in! How about you?

    Probably about 45 years.
Some riders change their horse, they change their saddle, they change their teacher; they never change themselves.

    40 years this year.
    Enjoyed every issue also.
The latest ones with the gorgeous color pictures are amazing, when you think about the old ones with great black and white pictures, but by far not what color does to magazines.

    Dang, BET!

I never actually subscribed, but when I was showing I used to buy the occasional issue from the local tack shop just to see my name & those of my friends "in lights"

    Wish I had saved those....

I subscribed in the 70's. I remember the kerfluffle when the magazine switched from white paper to the glossy cream. People had been using the covers for wallpaper

Since 1971, so gee, going on 40 years since I think it was fall of that year. I remember the white paper controversy too.

Have to say, though, that with the passage of time and presumably changes of the majority reader interests, emphasis has changed so much that it doesn't speak to me so much any more. So, don't know how much longer I'll subscribe, truth to tell.

My first working student job was found while reading "every page" of Coth around "1984" ouch.
