Unhappy hopefully it's nothing... but jingles please!

My boy came up lame last night for my lesson, but he was sound that morning when my trainer rode him... Barn Manager says he's still off this morning... no swelling or obvious anything, so we're praying he just played too hard and tweaked it...
this is my last season before I have to sell him and go to college, so i really want us to be on our game and have a good, fun year...

jingles and thoughts and prayers please.... the vet comes at 4 today...

Horses come up lame a lot. Like you said they play a little too hard in the paddock and tweak something. If there's no obvious swelling or heat that's positive. He may even be perfectly fine tomorrow. With my little TB I've noticed that he can be foot sore sometimes from hitting a rock the wrong way and then the next day he's fine. So take a deep breath it's probably something minor that will resolve shortly. Good luck and keep us posted

jingles for you! hope its no big deal!

last year my friend flatted her boy before we left for a trial, the entire time she was on he looked great. 20 minutes later when the farrier came to stick my horses shoe back on her horse was lame! turns out it was just an abcess & he was fine in a couple of days :].

Thank you guys!!! Turned out to be hocks.... finally got to him. 11 yo substantially raced TB. did injections, we will hopefully be back in light work by the weekend, and back to normal by Tuesday! Expensive, but may be for the better. Just hoping stifles won't be an issue too... they were swollen as well, but he didn't flex badly on them.
