If anyone can find a video of SP's Grand Prix ride it's you Mike! I SO want to see that one. I hope it surfaces somewhere. The freestyle video is lovely too though!

    Ditto on all counts!!!

    Thanks for sharing! Lovely.

I really liked the 80's music, too.

"If I Could Rule the World" is great song for them.

It was amazing insofar as the technical aspect- but, it made me miss Toto and Gal, even more.

The quality of the gaits, and the amazing partnership- with aids so subtle, they are just about invisible....I am glad we all got to witness it.

I have to say that watching it in person was absolutely effortless. SP riding and Ravel's transitions were amazing! Truly a work of art.

Plus I got to be a gitty school girl when at the beginning of the freestyles Steffen and Akiko were sitting at the table right in front of me

Just marvelous. I got to see him and Shannon at the NEDA symposium and I learned so much I practically had a nosebleed trying to fit it all in. I also got a DVD through Barnsweetbarn and just love his quiet, sensible and thoughtful approach to his riding and the mutual respect that exists between him and his wonderful horses.

And looky there- nice halts, too!

He's made a few changes in this freestyle over the time he's ridden it, so I was scared he wasn't going to do the canter pirouettes to piaffe...then he did! I LOVE that movement combo.

He's a beautiful rider, and his partnership with Ravel is simply inspiring.

And I will never listen to "Safety Dance" again without picturing tempi changes.

I know, I love his music!!! I'm actually sad that he is changing his music now, although I know you can't keep the same freestyle forever. I am certain the next one will be great as well!

Wow - that was fantastic! Thanks for posting the video! Are there videos of the other freestyle rides? I missed the live stream
