Lessons in between Ocala/ Gainesville
I finally moved back "home" to the Ocala/Gainesville area and have some nice horses that I want to enjoy showing. I love being back in a horsey area but I have been gone long enough to be out of touch with trainers and instructors still in the area. With my crazy work schedule hauling out for lessons will be problematic. Can you give me suggestions of instructors that will come to my farm for lessons? Showed training successfully when younger, have one horse solid BN ready to go N with plenty of talant and scope, and a 3 yr just starting under saddle with tons of possibility that will just hack and play this year. Thanks for the help.

you can PM me...Pat Deasy is in your area and I believe she will travel...most of the "big name" people do not, for obvious reasons (enough students who trailer in)

I will put in my 2 cents- I bought a horse from Pat many years ago and was SO impressed with her riding and teaching style. Lovely, quiet rider and just a nice lady. If she travels, I'd highly recommend.

Also worked with Pat when I was younger. It was a fantastic experience.

Lesley Eden for dressage - absolutely cannot put into words how she is able to get the most out of your horse on the flat. I saw a huge difference in my jumping after working with her.
I know you can't haul out easily, but I would highly recommend Henrietta (Yet) Eppanauer at Canterbury. She was the only trainer in that area who could get my head back on straight after a bad fall I had, and she's very positive, but will push you.

For dressage lessons I highly recommend Jeff Broederdorf. He lives at my farm here in Archer (right between Ocala and Gainesville LOL).
PM me for details if you like.
