Default Exercise Ball Chairs & Core Strength?

Has anyone here converted to using either an exercise ball or exercise ball with a stand as an office chair? I'm considering purchasing one and am hoping to hear from those that have already tried it as to how it affects core strength/posture.

I sit in a (nice, cushy) office chair at a desk for 8+ hours a day. I realize it is entirely possible to slouch while sitting on an exercise ball, but let's assume I'm going to make an effort to sit up straight and maintain somewhat correct posture.

Thoughts? They aren't all that expensive.

I use my exercise ball as a chair everyday.

I do not use a stand.

Every once in a while I sit in my regular office chair.

Using the exercise ball as a chair has helped my core strength.
