Default The Big Indoors - What is hot now?

When I was showing hunters, it was Harrisburg, Washington, and Madison Square Gardens (or Meadowlands).

Are there more now or are these 3 still the big ones?

Kind of in flux right now. The NYC shows have been defunct for years. The "national" horse show moved to Florida for a few years then up to Syracuse and now is slated for the KHP starting this year.

Capital Challenge and Washington International seem to be the more prestigious at the moment.

I would say Harrisburg is more prestigious than Capital Challenge; you have to qualify for Harrisburg, CC you don't (except for the WCHR stuff and THIS medal final).

Some years back, MSG changed management philosophy (and owners I believe) and concentrated on higher grossing uses for the venue.

The National Horse Show was then held at The Meadowlands and then at Chelsea Piers, think it skipped a year or two in there somewhere too.

Then moved to Wellington for a few years where it tanked in prestige and became the Not So National Horse Show.

Parts of it, like the Medal Finals, were then moved up to Syracuse. Now slated for the KHP.

No more shows in the metro NYC area.
