Default Experienced Fox Hunter/Trail horse- Upstate NY

Hi Everyone, I am looking to home the horse that I have used as a staff horse for the past two years. He is an 11 year old 15.3hh paint gelding named Pirate. He has whipped in with me and was a huntsman's horse before that. Easy in the barn and in the pasture- will go out with anyone, easy keeper (he gets hay stretcher pellets even during full hunting season). He hacks out alone and in company, not a difficult horse to ride, but has a little crow-hop in him every now and again. He no longer wants to be out by himself when hunting, but is happy to be behind another horse. However, he does need maintenance. He needs pads up front, probably should go to bar shoes, and is on Adequan and Previcox. With a good maintenance plan he should be sound for 2nd/1st field hunting in easy country. Decent jumper, good speed, not very spooky, does not kick, excellent with the whip/gun, great with the hounds. Excellent home only for this sweet guy, I will check references. email c12rome@siena.edu or PM for more information!

It's psychosomatic. You need a lobotomy. I'll get a saw.
