The weird thing for me - I was just thinking about Ravensway yesterday - after reading ESG's post lamenting the lack of barns with good care in our area. Ravensway is a nice facility. I am guessing the main barn is the one that caught fire. I had my horses in the shedrow barn. When I was there one paid a reasonable rate that included stall, shavings and hay.
Nice hay and we fed a lot of it. ie not limited to two flakes per day etc.
Bought our own feed. We buddied up in regards to whom would feed and turn out - then bring in and feed. Cleaned our own stalls.
The shedrow barn the horses have dutch doors ie can hang out heads and see everything going on front of property - and huge back windows - same thing - can hang head out and see everything else. Very happy horses and nice family atmosphere. Wish more barns around like it.
The only other times Ravensway made the news was when the creek rose and all around flooded.
I still cannot believe the fire happened. So sad.
