They have a lifetime warranty on most of their zippers.

My husband recently had to replace his insulated Carhartt coat because the zipper had broken (and the weather we've been having definitely calls for being zipped up).

He wears the hell out of his farm/work clothes and the coat is 5+ years old, but is still usable. So he contacted Carhartt to see if he could buy a new zipper and have it put in. And they told him to send them the coat and they'll do it for free.

Nice to know. Although I'll say Carhartt makes one of the best zippers out there. Big, beefy zippers with big pull tags. Easy to use with gloves on and they don't ever line up funny and then zip crooked. (I'm somewhat zipper challenged I think, LOL)

Great to know it's a lifetime replacement. Knew the Carhartts were worth the money. A lifetime warranty on LLBean clothes is also why I shop there for most of my barn/work clothes. They don't care of the clothing is 10 years old and just wore out...they replace it!

Carhartt bibs for women

I have a pair of these and they're plenty warm (and windproof), but I'm in central N.C., so it doesn't get quite as cold here as it does in N.Y. My old BM had a pair of the super well insulated bibs, but I don't know whether they were women's or men's.

That's definitely a company that stands behind their product and I don't blame them. I LOVE my Carhartt coat, no matter how *ugly* it may be

I LOVE my one-piece "jumpsuit" thing. Keeps all the warmth IN! Also great on a bitter cold, dark morning, when the new puppy needs to go out NOW -- just pull that on over my jammies -- step into someMuck boots and we are good to GO!

I got my stepson's lined bibs when he outgrew them best things ever!! I've lived in them since November. Top 'em off with the vest my DH got me for my birthday, slap on the coat, and I'm good to go! Now SS has to outgrow his hooded jacket so I can take that over too...

We can't beat Maine cold here on the MD/PA line, but my BO LOVES!!!!!! her Carhartt bibs!!!!! Even if she does pee 20x an hr!

I have the bibs...bought the men's smalls and they work for me. And I'm small, but they still kinda sorta fit.

In the coldest weather I wear the arctic lined bibs, the arctic lined jacket, Carhartt winter gloves, smartwool socks and Muck boots and top it all off with my absolutely hideous looking sheepskin or faux fur lined ear flap caps that tie or buckle under my chin. Tres chic!

And I'm perfectly fine and happy outside in below zero weather for hours.

Heck I could probably be nekked under the Carhartts and Mucks and still be warm. Uncomfy, but warm.

Only problem I have with the bibs is that I can't wear them unless the temps are below 10 degrees...and windy. Otherwise I overheat. But for bad wind...those bibs stop wind dead. You'd never know it was windy. Or wet. They provide decent cushion for your tuckus when you fall on ice too.

So I look like a baby-crap-brown Yeti outside...I'm toasty as heck!

I went to the grocery store recently in my bibs, mucks, fleece turtleneck, and Carhartt vest, and some woman actually had the balls to make a snide comment about my outfit! Um, HELLO, it's WINTER in MAINE. The last thing I care about is being fashionable. She's just lucky I wasn't wearing my jacket at the time - I'd broken two eggs in the pockets earlier that day, and put my arm in a big chicken poo. It could've been so much worse

I am waiting until the Carhartt barn jackets go on sale, and then buy one that will be my "good" Carhartt. My present one is usually covered with hay, muddy dog paw prints, and horse slobber.
If anyone has a Magic Mart around them, they have a good selection of women's Carhartts.
I love them-warm, water resistant, wind proof, and tough.
