Default blanket 600D - does that affect waterproofedness or just durability?

    Saw a great deal on a 600D mid-weight
My horse is very good with blankets and his pasturemate doesnt bother the blankets (just the halters)

Does the 600D (vs the 1680D on our current blanket) make a difference on how long it may stay waterproof
or is it more on how durable the fabric is???

It's just the toughness of the outer layer. The waterproofing is actually a membrane on the inside of the nylon, which is why the blanket can look wet on the outside and not be wet on the inside.

I have the Centuar 600D mid neck. I love this blanket so much. They have them on TOTD. Excellent blanket and very under rated in my opinion. My horses are not hard on their clothes, so I usually buy the 600's.
