Default Craigslist of the day. UPDATE!

    http://columbusga.craigslist.org/grd/2178472715.html

I'm not really sure how he walks and runs just fine with a hoof like that. And perhaps he would get along a little better with others if he were missing a certain body part. Sigh. I don't even know why I even look. Anyone want a pony?

I unfortunately cannot take on a horse nor could I house him even temporarily but I would definitely be able to help with transport if someone can take him. Poor thing is really pulling at my heart

miniature stud horse, buckskin , very gentle natured, protective and not good around another male horse, cannot keep, can give history/more info. Has a foot problem, however walks and runs with no problem. needs a loving and special home. bought him from 100 dollars last May, money not as important as the right home for him!

silver bay and elf feet. Jeez, yeah that's a hoof problem. More of an OWNER problem though...

Looks like his hoof problem is lack of a farrier.

I'm guessing sometime between last May and now they realized that keeping a horse no matter how small wasn't as easy as they said it was in the children's books. Too bad the little fella's all the way down in Georgia, BO just lost her mini recently to old age.

And they should be paying someone to take him, with all the money a responsible owner is going to have to shell out for the brain surgery and a good farrier at minimum.

I could have had him a nice home but since he is a stallion and no telling if he will now ever get along with geldings, that was blown out of the options I am afraid. He isnt young so even gelding him may not change his behavior.
Our horses are not seen as the old and disabled they may have become, but rather as the mighty steeds they once believed themselves to be.

How sad!! I wish I could bring that pony home but I can't afford it.

I was looking at the Craigslist horse ads today - just of curosity -and thank goodness I didn't see any foundered horses or ones with mishappen hooves and legs in our area.

However, what I did see was about three different ads with the owner standing on their horses back. Ouch!

Wish he were closer, I'd snatch him up in a heartbeat (and cut off his boys). My mini has been looking for a friend for a while.

He doesn't have horse problems....he has people problems. If his people would have done right by him he wouldn't be the Craigslist flavor of the week

Well, his ummm..enclosure...looks clean and somewhat safe. Except for the leg size wire openings. These people are probably not be awful people, unlike some that are posted on Craigslist - just clueless and not realizing what they were getting into with a stallion. And uneducated enough about horses not to recognize founder or know how to feed a little tyke like that.

But still doesn't mean they are horrible people. In fact, the best thing they can be doing is to find a suitable home for him, which they are trying to do. Haven't we all seen much worse on Craigslist?
