Just wondering what peoples thoughts were on these stallions. Not for any mare in specific but right now just wondering if anyone has seen them or heard anything good/bad, used them (semen quality) etc. Most of them are fairly young boys so probably not much info out there yet but thought I would try....
Well I didn't know I was a Hochadel fan but after seeing a few of his foals I am now! LOL! No, I didn't get a chance to see him at Spruce Meadow. SO wanted to go but with the two small ones it was just too hard.
The only video clips I saw were on the websites listed so nothing probably too recent.
I have been keeping a close eye on Hochadel's get since he went to Celle and enjoying what I see. I too wish he was available via frozen. When he first went to Celle they called him the 'poor man's His Highness' FWIW. He is just lovely, though!
Now this JMHO but I see a fair number of riding age offspring (auctions, sales ads, etc) that have a consistently weak loin area, but I would just select a mare out of a mareline where this was not a concern and who is fairly short coupled.
Of the 2 sons, I prefer Hohenzollern's conformation over HHeine - his hind cannons are too long for my taste and his jumping score was pretty abysmal. Not that Hohenzollern's was great but it was a bit better. But I would prefer to have Weltmeyer on the damline, so that is another factor in Hohenzollern's favor and he's not over 16.2 either.
Dannenborg's mareline has produced some excellent breeding stock and super performance horses at the FEI levels. He's on my check back in about 8 years list to see what the riding horses are doing and what mares they are out of.
