Lightbulb Board in Centreville, VA for mostly retired/trail horse?

    Hi there,
I told my (non-tech savy) friend I would do some research for her.

She wants to move her gelding closer to home so she can see him more often. She lives in Centreville and wants to drive as little as possible due to family obligations (no more than 20 min.).

Her horse is a very quiet teenaged gelding who is mostly retired, but she likes to trail ride him. So a place with trails would be ideal - doesn't need a ring.

Obviously she doesn't need a big boarding facility, which is all I am aware of in that area. I did search the forums and checked all the usual places I know of.

Does anyone have any recommendations or know where I could find out about smaller private barns in the area?

    TIA!!

Have you thought about looking at Clifton? Mostly bigger barns off the Battlefields, but Clifton and Nokesville aren't too far and have more smaller, private barns. I would check the board at Dover, Saddle Liquidators in Gainesville, and the Clifton tack shop. Or hopefully someone will PM you with an opportunity they know of...trail access will be the key.

We are 15 miles from Centreville. We are a pretty big barn, but mostly pleasure riders, and some semi-retired. Our barn has a "small barn" feel.
