    Default canter cutie

Not usually a fan of the ladies, but I can't stop looking at this one for some reason!

Also... what's her coloring? The ad says chestnut. Her mane looks black to me, which would be bay, but she doesn't have black points. Can you have a chestnut with a black mane? Tail is dark too but can't tell if it might be more liver-colored than black.

I though liver chestnuts were more, well, livery? I took a picture of a similar chestnut last year. I probably would have called him bay, because I didn't notice at the time that he didn't have black points. (Luckily I don't put color in my descriptions, since I figure its obvious from the picture. Which apparently it's not always).

    Default Not sure ...

It could be the lighting in the pics making her mane look black, or she could just have a lot of black mixed with the red, making it look black.

Either way, I think she's lovely. Some proper groceries and a lot of doting would probably result in a really fine mare. I love her kind, sweet face.

Buy her now & then decide on her color when she sheds her winter woolies.

I'd be asking why she was returned?
I'm always a little sceptical when a horse gets mention for breeding potential but no mention of what she did undersaddle (I'm assuming that the year home was as a riding horse...)

Pedigree and conformation good for sport...light boned for my taste. Double Buckaroo for sport, Blushing Groom is wonderful for sport. PatO

She's a chestnut - I have one (gelding) with the same coloring. Not quite a liver chestnut, but a dark chestnut. My gelding's tail is darker too, with a lot of black hairs running through it.

ALTO - This mare was not returned, she was racing out of state, you can check her past performances... and she's definitely a chestnut.
