Who can forget this classic one? "Veni, vedi, vici." which translates to "I came, I saw, I conquered." That was in my father's email signature line for years Not sure if I spelled all of it correctly, but oh well. Both my dad and my late grandfather have used this for years. It's not a funny one, but it makes me smile anyway

I believe it's "Veni, vidi, vici." Or, to stay true to the original, "Veni vidi vici."

    Aww Dee, thank you!

I sing that entire song when galloping or when doing work on the horses on my own. That and the entire Thunder Road from Bruce. Horses seem to like them!

And that second one is classic. I think Animal House sounds about right.

I wondered if it was vedi or vidi. I should have googled it to be sure, but I was doing this on my smartphone earlier and the darn thing froze up on me short after I posted. Stupid smartphones! They're like a crack addiction (if I knew what that was like, but heck, I'll assume anyway).

George Morris said something like this,

Don't be afraid of criticism. The only taste of success some people get is when they take a bite out of you.

I'm a long time lurker, but had to say this is absolutely hysterical!
In the steady gaze of the horse shines a silent eloquence that speaks of love and loyalty, strength and courage. It is the window that reveals to us how willing is his spirit, how generous his heart.
