Smile Now I need help with a Jumper Stallion

I am looking for a jumper stallion that meets the following criteria. Must be in the Han Jumper Breeding Program, be between 15.3 and 16.1, have good rideability and temperament, good movement and conformation, be successful in competition and the breeding shed and I prefer Han Branded but not a deal breaker. The filly is Catoki/Contender/Sao Paulo and is a maiden. She is a super filly and there really isn't much to correct other than she is tall. She did receive a 9 on her conformation at a breed show in 2010 and was Reserve Grand Champion of the whole show. Some ideas would be appreciated.

Not very familiar with Hanoverians, but what about Escudo II?

Here is the list, BTW :http://www.hanoverian.org/JBP/JBPstallions.shtml

I don't think that Escudo II ever competed? I am not opposed to using frozen semen and there is a larger list of stallions in the JBP on the German HAN Webpage. Thank you for the effort.

I would think about something like Quite Easy-- add some blood, get the C/L cross, keep the size down, frozen semen is great.

LULU-Do you know how tall Noble Champion is? I can't find that info on his website.

Raffey-Quite Easy was one that I was looking into. I really liked him until I watched video of him in competitions. He looks like a really tough ride. The rider is pulling him back the whole ride. I don't want a horse that a "magician" has to ride. The stallion I am going to breed with has a very tall order to fill

So, I had an information-packed post based on my recent trip to Germany, and it was eaten. Photos would be nice, but it boils down to the suggestion of Calido (if she has a nice hiind-end) or the Q-line. Most Caotkis are small, or so I noticed & was told, curious where the height came from?

Coconut Grove meets all of your specs
Highly recommend him as a sire.

I have an '07 mare by Coco. I'd be hard pressed to ever sell her...big Labrador Retriever in very athletic packaging.

Noble Champion is 16.1 hh, not a huge stallion and has a large thoroughbred component. my girl is out of a tb mare and was described as having a "tremendous shoulder" at her inspection...

Denise, you need to check out As di Villagana! He has a lot of get winning in Europe! As di Volare, As di Athene, and a few others are winning here. If you go to my Facebook pages, you can see As di Valentia (Val), my 2010 colt by him. All of them are smallish, refined, gorgeous eye and head, and tuck up like landing jets over a fence. Celle has semen at a much better price than Laura Linbeck is offering it here. I love that stallion for a smaller jumper - to 16.1. I also have a super filly by For Play, though she is nearly 16.1 now at almost two! Tons of information about As di if you "google" him!

I think that is a tall order given the small size of the stallion that you are looking for.

But I found these on Celle and I only looked based on height and JBP. You will have to check out the rideabilty, production record, and competition.

And of course Stakkato is only 16.0 h, but I do not think that he freezes well.

In the US, Pablo is only 16.1 and tends to throw some smaller offspring at times. He has a good production record and did qualify for the Bundeschampionate (I think...).

I am not sure where the height comes from either. Her full sister is going to be quite tall also. I have not heard nor seen about Catoki throwing small, interesting. When I was at Sosath's I absolutely fell in love with his son Cascall. I am going to look further into Noble Champion and Coconut Grove. I am not sure why but Calido is not my cup of tea and I know he has many very successful offspring, just something about him. I would like a Q line stallion but has to have a good temperament and rideability. Any suggestions? I already researched As di Villagana and am very impressed with him. Now the problem. He has not been activated with the AHS and he is no longer listed on the Stallion List on the German Verband Website. Does anyone know if frozen semen can still be purchased from the Celle? and if so can the foals get registration papers from the AHS. He is one stallion that met all of my needs and one I would like to breed with. TIA

I think that whoever wants to breed to him had better call Laura at Woodrun Farm and ask her to reactivate him. She has him listed on her website at stud. I think that, in the past, the mare owner has paid the reup fee at least once to reactivate him. Celle still has frozen, as does Pato Muente, now in Germany himself. I think that Celle has it for much less money. I've known quite a few of his youngsters in young jumper careers and find them impressive. Only one that I know needs a really educated ride to prevent too much anxiety. As di himself is easy and relaxed flatting at least. My guy is very relaxed and confident as a coming yearling. My colt did get his AHS papers this year, after getting his lovely TB dam approved.

Just a note on Quite Easy. He did compete at the GP level with just one eye. Talk about heart

Also, another two thumbs up for Coconut Grove. Have one in my barn that is getting fatter by the day (in foal to Cunningham) .

just check the jumper program box

Salito (16h), which still should be avalible frozen, has a very high index for jumping and made the top 20 for jumping Han sires.

Tommyknockers, I love Landkoenig as much as anyone could, having three by him, but one is now over 18 hands and one other, I hear, may also reach that height! They are wonderful, people-oriented very good jumpers but they aren't small! Pablo does produce wonderful, smaller jumpers though more breeders seem to use him for dressage breeding. Pablo get generally are wonderful jumpers and generally on the smaller side. I know that Denise knows these stallions very well.
