I don't know about the PC in Phoenix, but both Barbara Crabo and Frederic Brouland are there.

Not exactly relevant, but I am in love with about half the horses Barb rides. I'm hoping when I am ready for a new dressage horse she has one who just doesn't take to jumping like she hoped.
My horse is a dressage diva so I don't have to be.

yes I liked her site a lot.
I'm looking for a program for a kiddo though.
something very kid friendly with lots of other kiddos running around having fun with their horses!

ISTR Alice's program having more kids involved, not sure if that's the case anymore.

Frederic's crowd tends to be older teens and adults, and more serious/competitive.

There are a few Pony Clubs in the area, but they don't seem to center on a particular instructor that I've seen.

What area of town is she in?

Kim Storm (formerly Marshall) works with Pony Clubbers (San Tan Area Riders club). She's out in Queen Creek. PM for her contact info.

    She herself trains with Frederic.

The only other PC in AZ is up in Flagstaff, I think.

Search the USPC website for Pony Clubs that may be close to your friend's: http://www.ponyclub.org/

Well Barb herself has young kids, so I would think she would be pretty darn kid friendly. Frederic is more teen and up, haven't seen Alice in a while, but she typically had several kids with her at shows. I believe Barb does some PC clinics and such.

There's definitely PC down here, it's just not helpful to the OP unless they are south Phoenix and willing to drive to NW Tucson.

I've only heard good things about Barb, though I don't think I've met her in person - I've only seen her off riding one gorgeous horse after another at events.

I know for sure there is an active Pony Club in Mesa. I think there is also a Chandler and Tempe group. The one in Mesa is out of Red Mountain Stables on the east side of town. But a lot closer than Tucson or Flagstaff.

I ride with Alice Sarno, have for something like 12 years now..(gosh I'm OLD!) Anyway, she is definitely still around, has some new younger kids starting with her now.....She is located in Cave Creek, at Carefree Farms, www.carefreefarms.net Her website is just in the process of being re-vamped and updated, so the show/clinic info is more accurate on the farm website at the moment, but her website is www.alicesarno.com I know she has had clinics for some Pony Club around here as well, but I don't know the name or where they are located....pony club is unfortunately not all that big out here in AZ.....kids tend to get with a trainer and go from there. I also know Tavia Walcott teaches younger kids, she is up in Cave Creek as well. PM me if you have any questions
I'm not tense, just terribly, terribly alert!
If you can't be a good example, you'll just have to be a horrible warning!
