Default what to use to waterproof a sheet?

I have a older Rambo Rhino sheet for my mare (got it barely used from a friend after her old tb mare passed) It is still in really good condition (after you get the mud off of it), although missing the tail flap thanks to my horse.
But it isn't waterproof anymore. It leaks in places and I just sprayed it with a waterproofer I got at walmart. It seemed to hold up until this most recent rain.
I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion of what to use to waterproof it, again. It is a nice sheet and it fits her so I don't really want to get a new one.

try Thompson's water seal. You might find it at a camping supply.

I've had excellent results with Thompson's water seal.

Nikwax for horse blankets. I do it a little differently than the directions say - I put it in a spray bottle and lay the clean blanket out on my basement floor. Dilute the nikwax a little, maybe 1:1, and spray until saturated. I can get almost an entire season out of one application this way (if it's not a terribly rainy year!).

Nikwax. I mix it up in a baby swimming pool and let it soak. The sponge on method never worked really well for me.
