Thank you! I feel better now - I was having doubts about my judgement. I will continue my little letters as long as I have elderly relatives.
Also, there's a difference in sending them to close friends and family whom you KNOW appreciate them and sending them off to the people with whom you barely spoke even when they lived next door to you. . .20 years ago. THAT'S "braggy".
Guilty as charged. We send a photo card out every year, usually a photo of one or all of our horses, which may or may not include my husband and I. At least it's better, IMO, than sending no card at all- that seems to be the trend from what I've seen. Most of our friends don't send cards at all.
We did get a few VERY funny form letters this year. One from a neighbor of ours, talking about his wife's impending insanity- It was hilarious!
