Default Hay, Haulers, Foster Homes Deperately Needed in Montana

The Montana Large Animal Sanctuary closed it's doors the beginning of December which left more than ONE THOUSAND animals in need. Things haven't been well at the "Sanctuary" for quite some time as evidenced by the 1 foot hoofs on the horses (80+) and donkeys (30+) and llamas dying of starvation each day.

Ani-Meals of Montana has stepped up to the plate and have been providing much needed hay by the tractor trailer load since the word went out, but they need help, your help, to keep this going.

Vets have been giving of their time and resources, volunteers on the ground have worked tirelessly to round up all these animals, most of which haven't been handled in years, and are scattered over 400 acres. The vetting has begun, animals are slowly being moved out, rescues and other organizations from all around the country are helping in this major endeavor, but there's never enough resources or help.

Please, if folks could simply contribute $5.00 to Ani-Meals for their ongoing efforts, or South East Llama Rescue who is organizing transport and foster homes for the more than 600 llamas, it would make a HUGE difference. It takes more than a village to rehome, rehab, and refeed 1000 animals who are suddenly without care and in the cruelist of climate. If you're in the Hot Springs area and can volunteer your time, it would be extremely appreciated. Below are various links to the event itself and those organizations who are doing their best to end this abysmal suffering. Yes, charges are pending against the founders of the "Sanctuary."

600 llamas?!?! Yikes! Out of curiosity, what is the rough breakdown of #/types of animals?
    600 llama
    80 horses
    30 donkeys
What ELSE did these people have? Off to see about sending a dribble that way......

There are bison, 2 Bactrian Camels (now thankfully castrated and on their way to a new home!), goats, sheep, cats, geese, pigs, cows, longhorns, and other assorted farm animals. I'm not involved with the farm animals so I honestly don't know the breakdown. I'm sure I've missed something, likely an exotic of some type or variety.

Dribble is good...dribble is great! Every little bit helps in this ginormous undertaking.

    Thank you!

Just attempted to donate to animeals and was unable to. Went to the appropriate spot (I believe) but not able to access.

The above address doesn't work for me.

These hoarder cases (or should I say: rescued animals needing to be rescued) are getting tougher and tougher to read. I got through the first few lines, made a Paypal donation, and fled. : o(
