    Default I heard a rumor...

...that there's a new boy at Avalon Equine. Any guesses on who?

Nah ... Kinsella knows about all of them already ... she is "baiting" us because she obviously knows a secret that we dont!

    Totilas!

    Hurrah!

Lets see - for something "out there" to compliment her current roster and NOT duplicate anything she already has I am going to say ...

    "Sinatra's Reply" !!!

    No, huh?!

Mmm....rumors are true. But mums the word until we get a plan here

    Colorado Skredstrup - Knabstrupper
Belafonte D' Avalon - German Riding Pony

I love their Knabstrupper stallion, he is lovely.
<smile>...That's our current line up with the exception of LA Express. We lost him around Christimas 2009 . But thank you for the compliment on Colorado. We think he's pretty darn special too .

Well, considering we're in the heart of Quarter Horse country, it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume we were getting a stallion named "Tortilla" <lol>. But I'm afraid that Totilas is WAY out of my price point!!! Mm...like not even on the radar!!! Sorry!

We'd like to think he'll compliment what we already have . But sorry, Truecolours...just too many of that particular line around for us. There are lots of other boys with that kind of breeding that we can support THEIR owner's <smile>. We breed about 1/2 our mares to outside stallions - especially as we have daughters and sisters and relatives, or mares that just don't "match" our own boys. It's part of the fun standing stallions and having nice broodmares! We recognize that "our" boys aren't necessarily the best match for all of our girls!

Stay tuned for an update. I promise we'll make an announcement shortly...Just need to figure everything out on how we want to proceed with him! Just want to make sure we do it right!

Oh...and if you want to be one of the first to hear who the new boy is, you can always sign up for our Avalon Equine Newsletter - http://visitor.constantcontact.com/m...HqHhqvwGeEqHPv

Nah - I dont know any more than the rest of you!

Heck - Im the one with the new GREY stallion that wipes out any colour or markings a foal may have at birth! And I actually told Kathy that I was interested in her BAY Edelweiss stallion! Is it possible I am going over to the "other side"??!

Maybe you finally got tired of cleaning all that white?

    Isnt THATthe truth!!!

I LOVE the "I Love You" connection with Edelweiss. I am pretty certain that he is the ONLY stallion in North America that is a direct son and he might be the only offspring - period - that has I Love You as a sire - period.

Maybe you finally got tired of cleaning all that white?
NO WAY!!! I will always prefer chrome to no chrome. You have NO idea how hard a decision it was to breed my smoky black mare this year to a HZ grey and know - 100% - no matter what colour the foal comes out and what markings it has as a baby, in time they are all going to disappear ...

Heck - this was a harder decision than changing from Coke to Pepsi!!!
