    Default Woo Hoo! New Horsie!

I'm SO excited! I finally talked DH into getting a horse that HE can ride! And I think I found the perfect guy! He's a Morgan/Percheron cross that's been sitting for a few years, so he'll need a tuneup. But when he was used, he was the husband's trail horse, and hubby had no real experience just like my hubby.

I emailed the owner back and forth all day yesterday and it looks like he's ours! She does want me to sign an adoption agreement, which I was a little hesitant to do at first, but after reading it again, it doesn't have anything in it that I wouldn't want for any horse I was selling to someone. After all, don't we all want what's best for our horses once they're out of our hands?

So anyway, if all goes as planned, he'll be in my pasture next Saturday. SO excited!

I feel a little uneasy that I haven't seen him in person yet, but I have several pictures and a couple of video clips of him playing in his paddock. And it's not like I haven't bought a horse sight unseen on just a picture before (can you say two CANTER horses?) and they both worked out.

Plus, with the agreement, it covers me too in that if it doesn't work out at any time, including if he becomes unrideable or develops a chronic illness, they will take him back and even give us our purchase price back - they'll even split the cost of transporting him back (four hours away)!

I feel like a little kid - can't wait til next Saturday! Pics to follow!
