Question British Attire - Adult Ammy Novice

Just curious, but what is the customary attire for dressage and show jumping for the adult amateur novice rider at British horse trials? Brown boots, hunt boots, black boots, white or tan britches, black or tweed coats, etc. Any difference between men and women? Thanks.

For BE80 to Novice (your Prelim, I think), tweed jackets would be the most common, with beige breeches. Black or brown long boots.
For Intermediate and above, black or navy jacket (traditionally navy for women) with white or beige breeches and black boots.

Tweed is considered more correct up to Intermediate but actually there are probably equal amounts in tweed or navy/black jacket. There is no difference between men and women.

The majority in tweed ride with black boots with beige breeches.

With tweed it is correct to wear a tie or coloured stock and with a navy/black jacket a white stock. Men can ride in a white tie. You have to ride with a stock or a tie.

Yup, this. I wear a navy jacket though. It looks better with my two.
