I know this has been discussed before. But, I went out and bought a whole buch of Olay Regenerist products (as recommended by a bunch of Cother's). I am wondering for other people that use that line, what exactly do you use. On their website it is suggested for me to exfoliate every day. Now I thought that was a no-no. I guess i'm wondering what other people's skin care regumine is.
I exfoliate every day. Nothing harsh, but I do a light exfoliation with a very fine crystal powder, and then follow up with a toner that has salycylic acid (which is considered a chemical exfoliant). I'm currently using the Obagi Clenziderm system, which is a system developed for acne sufferers. I think the amount of exfoliation you need really depends on your skin type. I only used to have to do it once or twice a week, but now in order to keep my skin clear-ish, it has to happen every day.
I did just buy myself a Clarisonic though, which I cannot wait to try!
"Exfoliate" can be a bad word depending on what you're used to.
It doesn't hve to be anything rough, like a scrub. I have Rosacea, so one of my facial cleanising cloths is also an exfoliator but only because it is barely rough enough to take off the dead surface cells.
