Heineken and thinking about dipping into the Jose too, it's Christmas after all ! (I, too, missed out last night on drinking at the annual Christmas party, because the kids at work gave me the flu - so I'm making up for time lost)

The bottle of pinot noir is tempting me from the kitchen countertop, but I'm trying to ignore it until the dd is in bed. Not very successfully, I might add.

Just finishing up a 1982 La Lagune. Pretty tasty. But not going to improve further, we need to drink those up sooner rather than later...

I had lots and lots of wine. All of your mixed drinks sound yummy - I'm going to have to try some of them out!

Really wanted to ride today, but it was too cold and windy. Soooo, I broke out the cheap Cupcake chardonnay.

I should probably start a new thread, but I'm a little miffed that I opened the "good stuff" yesterday and BFF and I were the only ones who appreciated it. BIL poured himself a glass, even though he doesn't like wine, took a sip and then just let it sit. I was too worried about the "critical mother" (see previous OT thread) to ask him if I could have his glass

Started off with rum & egg nog, progressed/degressed to rum & coke. I am now on gin & tonic. If that changes, my choices are sherry, and red and white wines. Deshishuns, deshishuns.

I was drinking some really good merlot earlier, but now I am onto the Tequila. White Cabo Wabo to be exact. I love that stuff.

Probably will the night with a glass of apple juice or Silk Nog.

Started with The Little Penguin pinot grigio, then moved onto a German Riesling, then Yellow Tail sparkling white wine, Fish Eye Shiraz, then we had to dig deep into the liquor cabinet and found some various California sparkling wines of unknown origin. Basically, it was a drink us dry night- wine edition...

Gin Fizz, but made with vanilla ice cream instead of egg whites. It's been a Christmas tradition in my family for as long as I can remember.

Try adding a half ounce of real lime juice (none of that Rose's Lime junk). It's called a Scarlet O'Hara. Yummy.

For you martini lovers, this weekend we tried Tito's Handmade Vodka for the first time, up (froze the bottle first) with blue cheese olives. I've always liked Ketel One, but Tito's has it beat hands down. It's uber smooth.

This morning I'm thoroughly enjoying Peppermint Coffee from The Fresh Market. I don't typically enjoy flavored coffees because the "flavor" overpowers the coffee, but this one is delicious.
