What are you drinking?
I'm drinking Christmas Punch. It's a mix of frozen lemonade, strawberries, gingerale, champagne, and topped with raspberry sherbert. My mom found the recipe when my brother and I were kids and in recent years I started adding less and less gingerale and dumping a bottle of champagne in! It's yum!
I'm hoping we don't get too much snow tonight because I didn't stock up at the liquor store!!

Eggnog with a dollop of Jim Beam in it.
Later, with dinner, a Pinot Noir that I hope will not leave me with a headache.
(Didn't drink at all yesterday and I was at the in-laws, so I'm making up for lost time here.)

Cherry blossoms:
Champagne, black cherry rum, with a bit of sweet and sour. It tastes like a shirley temple for grownups!

Coffee, but I'm switching to vodka soon.
No egg nog, sadly.

A little later tonight.......eggnog. Don't make that yucky face: I mean REAL eggnog. Lots of nog and very little egg. It contains brandy. And rum. And blended whiskey. Good stuff!

Akavit. Chilled in the freezer and drunk from a small frosty glass. There is a controversy in Minnesota whether it should be gulped straight or sipped. The consensus among Norwegians is that it should be gulped. The Swedes and Danes aren't quite unanimous.
