I wanted to say thank you for all the support from this post! The amount of good and compassion that can come from this board is inspiring.

Thank you for all the messages offering ears to talk to, emails to contact, and coffee trips. I'm pretty sure I replied to all of you but I'll check before heading up to bed .

I am so sorry, I know how you feel. We thought my mom had cancer a month or so ago. We had to wait for what seemed like forever to get the tests back and thankfully it wasn't. However, I was loosing it the whole time, crying, crying and more crying.
You are more than welcome to vent to your fellow cothers. We are one big family and our prayers are with you, your mom and the rest of your family.

Major hugs. I wish I could sit with you and make you a cup of tea and just be there for you. It absolutely sucks.

Very sorry. My mom was diagnosed when I was a senior in high school, after a major fight with our pcp, who thought there was nothing wrong with her so he would not appreove any testing.

Although her initial prognosis was not so great - semi advanced ovarian cancer - she came through surgeries and chemo and is still cancer free 10 years later.

I remember it like it was yesterday... I found out when I was in school because her specalist took her in for emergency surgery. Totally lost it in front of everybody.

Hugs to you and your mom.
