    Default Connaisseur

Does anyone know much about Connaisseur?

He is owned by a local dressage rider here in Vancouver, but is standing in Europe right now. I've been wanting to add some "C" blood to my dressage breeding program and I really like the looks of this young guy.

Reviving this, since it appears Connaisseur is coming to Canada! I'm a big fan of Conteur, so I'm excited to see this guy will be available to North American (and in particular, us Canadian) breeders! Any thoughts? Looks seriously droolworthy to me!

Here is the most recent video I could find, of him as a 5 year old at the 2012 Pavo Cup:

Yes, he arrived in Canada last fall. A super nice boy and I am breeding him to my KWPN mare this spring. Very excited to see that cross! My only concern being he is only m/w/f collections which I hate.

He is so beautiful! It says in the stallion report he can be used to improve canter but needs a bigger mare. He is definitely interesting...

I agree. He is absolutely beautiful and impressive undersaddle. I hope he will be presented to GOV or Hanoverian.

I've had my eye on him for a long while also. Reports have consistently noted his very good character. Very glad to have him in North America. Thanks for the heads up on the MWF collections Cindy.

I would also love to see him approved Hanoverian, I think he'd be a great match for my Federweisser mare!

I've been looking for video of his foals. Haven't located much, so any links would be appreciated.

I've only seen very few around where I am.

    Here is one http://www.sportpferde-zucht-wargh.de/Casadeur.htm

Just loved his sire Con Amore who was lost so untimely.

I'm really liking what I see in the video. The looseness I am seeing in Connaisseur reminds me of Ravel.

The foal looks like it is ready to do upper level movements already. Very nice. :-)
