Default Difference between Equimax and ZGold?

Worming my horse mid Dec - vet said either QuestPlus (can't get...backordered), Equimax or ZGold. Are there any differences between Equimax and ZGold besides the histories of mouth ulcers with ZGold? (which I remember my horse getting a few way back, so leaning toward Equimax). Looks like same ingredients but different percentages.

I perfer equimax it worms a bigger horse. zgold only has 1.55ivermectin and7.75of the praziquantel wich i dont think is enough. i use equimax spring and fall, then do fecal egg count test three times a year all my horses egg counts are low so it must be working.

    Go with the Equimax.
ZGold has some serious issues such as blistering the horses lips/tongue.

IIRC Equimax is rated for pregnant mares and Zgold is not. that alone would tend to get me to lean more towards Equimax for dosing safety.

I much prefer the Equimax. More bang for the buck and no reports of mouth sores. And yes, Equimax is listed as safe for pregnant mares. Zimectrin Gold isn't - no did say it was on the package I looked at last month.

    Definitely Equimax in my opinion.

I don't know why Zimectrin Gold is still on the market. I wouldn't use it if they gave it to me for free.

DITTO !!! I used it years ago, first and last time. People that think they have used it safely just cant see where it is burning their horse further down according to my vet. I cant believe there has not been a class action suit with all the injuries and vet bills involved. This subject seems to come up about every 6 months !?!?!

Yup - my mare acted painful in the mouth after ZG. And, incidentally, the taste of Equimax is apparently better than many other dewormers, according to the princess...

I just wormed my guy with ZGold on Saturday! I didn't see any problems at all. If it is so bad why does everyone still sell it and what should I be looking for?
