He's in Tennesse at Warioto Farm. http://www.wariotofarminc.com/zarr.html

We have a 2009 colt by Hennessey (sire of Zarr) who we just adore.

I thought Warioto sold him a few years back? He *was* standing in VA, but the website appears to be defunct.

Zarr. Owned by the Stouts. ( Daryl and Teddy of Stoneledge Farm). Great people. He was in VA last I saw him, not too far out of Warrenton. PM me if you need their number. I have young horses that show on the line by him. He does not show on the line.

So is Zarr still standing at stud? Do they have a website?

    Default Hennessey, sire of Zarr

I have a fabulous filly by Hennessey out of a Voltaire mare. Hennessey produces size, a good temperament, jump and movement. His semen ships and is frozen. Hard to beat that. I think his stud fee is less than Zarr's and he is approved ATA and RhSPI.

Yes, Zarr is in VA and owned by the Stout's. He has been there for about three years, as that is who owned him when we bred to him and our filly is coming three.
Zarr is 15 years old, so not showing on the line currently. He did win at Devon as a 2 year old and has produced numerous in hand and "A"show hunters.

    Default Glad to hear

Glad to hear the update on Zarr. Met his full brother (Zito) when he was just a baby and was smitten. I too have a couple of Hennessey offspring whom I adore. One is my dressage horse. Here is the other one that wants to be a hunter:

Zito or "Studly" as we affectionately call him has been with us for almost 3 years now. His first two foals were born this spring and have inherited his puppy-dog personality! Great blood lines.

Good to hear from another Hennessey fan. We just love our Hennessey colt out of a Schoenfelder mare and bred him specifically for the hunter ring.

AFFMom - Zito sounds like a sweetheart and looks talented. Will he continue to show?

I've seen Zealous in person and he caught my eye before I knew who he was. Here is his website: Zealous

I can't wait to see my Zarr filly under saddle next year!

Yes, we do plan to continue showing Zito. He is one of my daughter's favorites but, unfortunately, often gets pushed off the trailer due to space limitations! We have two gorgeous fillies by him this year with four more due in the spring . . . can't wait.

Zealous has a fabulous presence and he was fantastic at IHF as a 4 year old which was the last time that I've seen him. We've had quite a few Hennessey off-spring over the years, including several in the barn now, and can't say enough about the personality and attitude of these horses.

Have a great time with your Zarr filly . . . I'm sure that you won't be disappointed.

Our client, HilCat Farm, just purchased "Anastazia" who is by Zarr as an addition to their Breeding program. She was Best Young Horse at Devon in 2004 & 2005 along with many other big wins. She will be bred to HilCat's stallion, Willemoes, in 2011 for a 2012 foal. We are very excited about this opportunity, she is a very sweet mare and has produced some lovely foals already....

Here are some photos of Anastazia:

What did she do in performance? I remember her showing on the line. Did she ever get broken? How did she do jumping?

She injured at Cismont Manor farm before getting an opportunity to show in the performance divisions. Her full brother, Spanish Spear, was very successful in the IHF performance classes as a 3yo and 4yo.
