a great warrior was laid to rest.
Jack-
All your life, you did everything anyone ever asked of you.
Although you never found your own family, I want you to know you were very much a part of ours in the short time we had you.
Your courage was humbling, and I hope to be as brave everyday in my life as you were in yours.
I will keep the promise I made to you yesterday as your life slipped away. I will find you over the bridge someday.
No more pain big guy - you run with 4 good ankles now, and no tummy pain.
I am honored to have known you.

Thank you all so much. We struggled with this decision, but I remembered something all of you have taught me. Better a week too soon than a moment too late.

So true. He was lucky to have such a courageous owner prepared to make that decision for him, you may have only had him a short while; but you had him for a reason.

What a lovely tribute and how lucky he was to have you in his life, someone who knew when it was time to help him transition to spirit form.
