Default Companion mini in Southeastern MI needs home

Posting for my sister-in-law, who needs to find this little guy a home. "Buck" is a buckskin (he may be pinto, I will have to check) mini who needs a home as a companion. However, he cannot be in an electric fence because he does not respect them. Children must be supervised with him as he is a bit skittish and not suitable for unsupervised children. He gets along with others, can be turned out with big guys, and is a cute, easy-keeping (he is very fat right now) mini who needs a new, safer situation where he will respect the fence. Please e-mail me at amycgin@aol.com if you can give him a safe, loving home.
    Thanks!

Hey...wish ! I could take him----But that has to wait for me, until my gelding will move from being boarded, to the little homebarn. Not for awhile, yet, but I do hope to get a lil guy friend when I do!
Which brings me to this question: Can you elaborate on the 'won't respect electric fence' scenario? I ask because, when I planned my fencing, I did so with the expectation of one day, having a mini on the property as well. And, so, along with the 3 'board' flex fence, I had fencer use a strand of hot coat above the fop 'rail' and also a strand of hot coat above the bottom 'rail'.
Is the 'electric fence' you speak of designed 'for' a mini, or is he just able to walk under a strand where it doesn't touch him?

Wish I had a trailer,I'd get him to be a buddy to my 30" mare.
She is lonely, but afraid of the big horses. Another mini would be perfect.

There's a free mini on the Indianapolis Craigslist. 4YO sorrel/white pinto gelding. http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/grd/2121856201.html Not mine and no association with them ... just passing it along!

Sorry, I haven't checked this in sometime. To elaborate on the fence issue--she feels he will respect a board fence or solid fence but she has 4 strand Centaur electrical 1" fencing and he has not respected that (just recently). She has owned him for a few years and he has just figured this out. It is set up for horses but she has another mini that does repect it no problem. He has figured out how to slip through it so he will test a fence now that he has the idea. No climb or board fencing he would probably be fine.
He is a very cute buckskin paint that is adorable and fat and in need of a home!!! I can e-mail a photo if you e-mail me your address amycgin@aol.com
    Thanks!

I can help find reasonable shipping for any interested approved homes.

I'm in NW Illinois - close to Iowa.
My mini has a paddock made of cattle panels with access to the barn 24/7.

He may have a local home but if not I could try to find some reasonable shipping for you if interested. I will let you know what happens.
