Tonight's "Dirty Jobs" episode on Discovery Channel features a visit to Kentucky Equine Research:
I wish I had cable tv now!
How interesting. In the clip, the woman says they're testing a yeast that works in the hind gut. I wonder if it's the one I use for my horse ...
Will watch tonight, although I could practically smell that manure they were working with.
"... if you think i'm MAD, today, of all days,
the best day in ten years,
you are SORELY MISTAKEN, MY LITTLE ANCHOVY."
Oh fun, thank you!! Now to remember....hmmm....
Thanks for the reminder, what a great clip!

Always love watching Mike Rowe! Mike Rowe playing in manure at an equine facility and getting razzed by women should be fun times!
Thanks for the head's up!
You jump in the saddle,
Hold onto the bridle!
Jump in the line!
Ah I remember doing this with cow poo and horse poo and worse while I was in graduate school.
Our house was used on an episode of dirty jobs. We used a diaper service and they came to our house to get the dirty diapers and then followed them through the cleaning process.

I watched the show last night and found it quite interesting. Those are some well mannered two year olds to let a novice horseman work around them without getting upset.
Very cool show. Very informative, with Mike and his favorite, poo, added in. Even to sticking his arm in the back end to pull out a fresh ball. I just wonder how they taught those young horses to gallop 3 miles on a treadmill.
