Default Romance On The Side ~ by ~ A Fine Romance *** new photos ***

I always wanted to name a horse Boy On The Side, so when I recently purchased a 3 yr old TB/WB cross from Gail Rogers and Tamarack Hill Farm by AFR... I re-named him Romance On The Side.
Gail called him Marquee Romance and nicknamed him "Handsome". His mother is Jewelers mark, by Hallmark.

Anyway, I am excited about this coming 4 yr old and can't wait to get him out there. Who else has AFR offspring? I would really enjoy talking to people who do.

Do you have pictures? I'd love to see him - I've always liked "Fred's" offspring but yet to see one in person...I'd venture to guess I'll get to see yours out and about in this area..congrats!

Nevermind, just went to your site - NICE!

What a lovely boy!! But all the AFR's are lovely horses! Can't wait to see his progress as he grows up!!

Fred, you should be very proud of this "Handsome" fellow and he couldn't have a better home than with Silver Balls!

Congratulations! I looked specifically for a AFR offspring and inquired about this boy actually, but he was already way too big as a 3 year old. I too always wanted a Fred offspring, but they are hard to find.

He is so gorgeous, all the best to you!

    Thumbs up

Thanks everyone! This boy has a great attitude, moves the best, and cracks his knees over the jumps! He is being started by Sue Marshall

I have learned that I cannot be around them too much during their formative years.
I have watched AFR's video of him jumping around a 4' working hunter course at the Royal Winter Fair many times... and I can't help but wonder why more hunter breeders are not sending their warmblood mares to him. He seems to add some refinement coupled with TB agility and stamina.

    Wow, Daddy's boy, for sure!

I'm not a huge TB fan, but AFR is one TB that I would consider. Unfortunately, the one WB mare I did own that would have crossed on him I sold last year.

I'm always saying that Gail will retire AFR before I get a chance to use him. So I guess I'll have to do what you did and just buy myself one!

Hope to meet her in person someday, anyway.

He is so aptly named. And he just oozes class. I can't wait to see the photos and get updates on his career-I think he is going to be famous.
