    http://www.canterusa.org/index.php?o...s&directory=64

I need another horse like I need a hole in the head. But this guy is screaming my name. I can hear him.

What do you guys think? I need some enabling.....or a smack upside the head.

Sorry but I do not like him at all. Seems like his legs are crooked and just in general do not like the way he is built.

How can you tell his legs are crooked from a side shot

ETA: And a not very good one at that...They do look a bit crooked in the first pic, but I think it's just the way he's standing because they look fine in the second...

He's not my type, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Speaking of eyes, he seems to have a kind one.

I saw him....he's gorgeous. There is something I like better about Beau though.

    Oh yeah. His price tag?

His legs do look crooked in the first pic but it could be the way he is standing. He might be pigeon-toed and the right hind looks odd, but I wouldn't bank on that being accurate because they can twist themselves like pretzels when picture-taking and otherwise be fine. I like his body -- it is long, but I like a long-backed horse personally. I love his powerful hindquarters, they are almost quarter-horsey. I bet he will look very much a WB when off the track and in a program.

    Go look!

I'm Going West is gorgeous, Alteringwego! I agree I like that one a bit better but it is also a different price range. It also looks over at the knee and the right front seems to turn out.

I am not a good judge of confirmation so won't venture any opinions on that but I like Beau, he has a sweet expression and a kind eye. And you can never have too many horses!!!

He is over at the knee, but that's usually acceptable for a hunter/jumper. His neck is a little short, and he looks like he's on his way to a hunters bump, as well.

All of those are flaws I could live with, especially if he has a good temperament.

ETA: I'm Going West looks like a very nice animal to me!

I am betting he is pretty toed-in on his left front leg. He is also a bit over at his knees. He also seems to stand funny behind. I just don't like him, but I am not a chestnut person to began with.

I have one with crooked legs so I have learned to spot things from the side that I never paid attention to before.

If your heart tells you to go for it, I would go see him or ask for pictures of him from front and behind and do a basic vetting on him.

I'm Going West looks over at the knee too.

A friend's horse is over at the knee. His has gotten noticably worse with age and the horse is not even in work.

Oh yah and the price is a bit high for an OTTTB.
Why don't you look at Purple Haze Center -they have some really nice OTTTB's at great prices and they have been ridden since racing.

The first pic doesn't flatter him, but the second one is better. He has a very kind eye and while a touch long, all his parts "match" (ie, he has a longish neck as well, and is about evenly divided between neck, body and hind end.)

    I quite like him.
