Default Jingles Please, Impaction COlic! BAD news need more jingles

A good friend/trainer has a four year old app/TB filly by my stallion, she is at the vet clinic with a bad impaction colic. Please jingle for this beautiful filly! Luckily she is not in a lot of pain, just discomfort at this point, but has been there since yesterday AM on IV fluids and only one small manure since then.

    Jingles from here.

Just curious, does the horse heat coastal hay (assuming they are in NC)?

Jingles from me!!! Pushing fluids is the way to go for an impaction. Paris took until day 4 to clear but she did. She coliced again and IV fluids did the trick within 2 days. Fingers crossed.

If i'm posting on Coth, it's either raining so I can't ride or it's night time and I can't sleep.

Sending jingles. Two full days of IV fluids did the trick for Star.

    Default Bad News

THings are looking very bad for this mare. THey think she may be twisted and the owner cannot afford to do surgery. Probably going to have to be put down, She is heavily drugged right now and the owner says she won't put her down as long as the drugs are working. Not sure that is the best route to take, but it is her decition (please don't slam her for it). The mares name is Stella "SA Show N Tell" I bred her and she was the last foal out of a wonderful old TB mare. She did say the gums look good and heartrate is good, so MAYBE she got really painful because the impaction was breaking free, so KEEP JINGLING!!

Oh no. I'd hoped she'd just pass it.

Poor thing - my condolences to you and the owner.
