    Default Cotton in Zenyatta's ears

I am a huge racing fan with minor knowledge of the sport. I first noticed the cotton in Zenyatta's ears during the 60 Minutes segment. Now I have seen several photos of her with cotton in the ears.

I am guessing she is sensitive to noise. Does the cotton help?

ear bunnies - fake or otherwise? IME, a HUGE help for some horses, doesn't make a difference for some others, a little bit of help for most horses.

Cotton in the ears not only cuts noise but makes the horse focus on what is close by instead of gawking around and not doing its job.
