We try to stick to popular story books for our pony names . . .
Looks like we will be getting 2, maybe 3 new ponies soon.
We already have
Charlotte's Web (Charlotte)
Ordinary Miracle (Fern)
I think we have exhausted the Charlotte's web theme. . . no other cute names I like from that story. Anybody have any other suggestions from children's books?
We are thinking of Stella from (stellaluna), Beezus (Ramona and Beezus, etc.
"Stanley" from Flat Stanley
Zu Zu Bailey " IT"S A WONDERFUL LIFE !"
FERDINAND THE BULL
"Go on, Bill — this is no place for a pony."
Adventures in Wonderland - Alice
My small pony's name is Mary Poppins, but I still love it....
The Chocolate Factory - Charlie
Wizard of Ox
Bedknobs and Broomsticks! Not sure if it's a book, but I sure did LOVE that movie
Fancy Nancy. Love those books.
Most likely they will be mares. . .I know we are crazy!
If we do get a gelding. . . his name will probably be templeton to keep with the Charlotte's web theme!
I do love all the other suggestions though! and I love Fancy Nancy too, just don't know if I could call the pony Nancy as a barn name lol! I really like Alice too!
I was going to say "Stellaluna", but you've got that one...How about Huckleberry Finn?
In keeping with the Charlotte's Web theme — Templeton, as in Templeton the Rat. Great name for a naughty pony.
Sarah Plain and Tall
An Alice in Wonderland name -- Cheshire Cat, Queen of Hearts, Mad Hatter (Barn name Alice)

We had a lovely Pippi Longstocking with two hind stockings. I love Amelia Bedelia and have not seen a pony with that name. ( Stellaluna too)
I just spent 10 minutes looking for Harriet the Spy, and I could have just scrolled down!

"Oh Say Can You Say" (Seuss) That was my favorite book growing up! Could be either male or gelding.
YEars ago there was a darling pony named Nicholas Nickleby.....
Same barn had Great Expectations.
My daughter loves the book series (1st grade) about a cat that thinks he's a chiwawa. The books are named after the character:
My own pony was named Spit-spot, which is from Mary Poppins. She's rounding up the kids and says something along the lines of "Alright children, let's get this room cleaned up. Spit-spot!"
We called her Spitty. And it fit.
