Stirrup iron suggestions - patellar tendonitis...
Thinking its time to change in my old-fasioned fillis irons for some new age technology. I've been sidelined in the past with a bakers cyst and now patellar tendonitis. So, ideas anyone? Thanks!

I have "p.t." and I love my Royal Rider flex stirrups! They are expensive but totally worth it, (in other words, I can ride multiple horses in a row and actually walk afterwords, since my knee is happy!). I tried the bow balance stirrups from sprenger, but I prefer the RR's.

I have PT as well as a host of other issues with my kneecap and the ligaments around my knees... As someone who was supposed to have surgery in '96 and has not yet, Royal Rider flex stirrups are the greatest God-sent thing on earth.

I went to Smartpak & played with every stirrup iron possible...I think the Royal Riders Flex are the best option, the weight difference alone should be an improvement. Now, I just have to get over the fact that there black...

PT
The reason that you have PT is most likely an unbalance in your hamstring/quad muscle groups. If you stretch and loosen up your hamstring and then strengthen your quads you will see a big difference.

i have a reconstructed calcaneous that gets very arthritic and the Royal Riders Flex have changed my life. On long horse show days, I went from having to crawl on the ground some evenings in my hotel room to mildly limping when I switched to them. I sing their praises from the highest mountain top.
