    Default Fleece lined saddle covers

I am looking for a heavy duty fleece lined cover for a dressage saddle. I would prefer something made from canvas duck or a similar thick, tough fabric, and a THICK fleece lining. It also must have elastic binding and be large enough to fit around a larger saddle so it stays put without shifting.

I know SmartPak carries one with fleece lining, but there are some reports that it is not large enough for 17"+ saddles. I also am not sure of the fabric, or of the thickness of the lining.

Anyone got any ideas where else to look?

    I make saddle covers.

Do you have a sewing machine?

I just bought a new saddle and wanted a fuzzy cover for it so I bought one of those 3 $$ fleece blankets from the dollar store. It's a cute purple plaid. I'll use it to make the new cover.

    Default PRI equine saddle cover

I have a saddle cover made by PRI Equine. It was a gift, but you may be able to find it online. It is cordura nylon on the outside so it is Heavy Duty and waterproof and lined with fleece... has two pockets on the outside. Fits large saddles.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will check it out.

Yes, but it hasn't been out of the closet in quite some time. Might have to remedy that if I can't find a suitable ready-made.

Reactor Panel makes a really nice one - cordura outer, fleece lined, elastic, the works.

I know childeric makes dressage saddles so I would assume their saddle cover for the dressage saddles would also have fleece lining like their close contact ones have.

www.runningfox.com they would be able to tell you.

Maybe not quite what you're looking for, but I use those cheapie ($5 cheapie) 2'6" x 3'6" rag rugs from Ikea for the saddle racks; a couple go underneath, folded, and I lay one over the top of the saddle.
