Problem with Eventingnation.com: Fixed now out again
HELP! For some reason starting yesterday I've been unable to fully access Eventing Nation. And since that site and this one are my links to the real world ( ) I am bereft.
I click on the site, it uploads, and then freezes my computer. No other site does this. I allow all Eventing Nation cookies. Anyone have any other ideas? Reboot hasn't worked. Virus scan done. Is there some other cookie I have to enable?
Please help!

It might be the server being naughty again and not you.

Might be your browser, comes up just fine with Google Chrome.
Which browser are you using?

No problem here. Glad you brought this up though. I'm getting really bored since I can't ride, or go to work (not that I want to go back to work!), so reminded me that I haven't read EN in at least a week.

IE Issue?
In the last day or two, those of us with IE could not see the picture of the smashed helmet. John made some changes for IE... and then I could see the photo. He wrote about the IE issue on his site.

I use regular Google, and I have cleared the cache (I think, if you mean history and sites visited?). My computer is set up to clear everything, including cookies from any but favorite sites each time I go off line. But I also have it rigged to ask before putting any cookie on, and just before this happened I had a request for cookies from a site that was a three letter acronym. Since I didn't know it, I refused it, and EN has been squirrely ever since.
Keep the advice coming, PLEASE!

You may have your security a little too tight, crumbling all those cookies.

Hey friends, someone sent me an email about this thread. First, let me apologize for the inconvenience. A combination of high traffic loads and lots of videos being posted on the site nearly crashed the entire server again. Fortunately I think we caught it in time to prevent a full crash, but the high bandwidth usage did cause slow load times for some readers. Once again, my apologies and we will work as hard as we can to prevent these issues from happening again.

I should also ask, just to make sure, is it loading better now for the readers who had problems earlier? We expanded the disk space and bandwidth and I reduced the number of posts and videos on EN temporarily. But, sometimes (almost always) computers have a way of giving us problems even after we think they are fixed. *fingers crossed*

Thank you, EN! Up and working again. In the mixed blessing department, isn't it great that the technical problem was caused by having too much success?
While I wholeheartedly believe in placating the gods with sacrifices (probably the only way I made it through the season without a fall), I do feel badly for little chinchillas. So instead, can we please sacrifice cows since they terrify my horse (especially when she's about to enter the dressage arena)?
Please, eat burgers.

Those cows must have read my last post and are plotting against EN to punish me!
EN worked brilliantly last night around 1:30am. This morning, I can't get it to come up at all.

FA, It must be you today. There is all sorts of news on there today including the fact that John is actually taking a day off!! Sorry.
BTW, have you seen all the lovely mares on CANTERNE? They all have to go NOW. There's a red gelding on there I DIE for......

John (or his doppleganger) is so on top of things that he's already e-mailed me about what is certainly a problem on my end*, and I am able to get on the site.
Which pretty mares are you looking at and which rehead gelding?
*Terrorist cows are sneaking into the neighborhood and chewing up our fiberoptic cable. At least that's my theory.
