Default Anyone remember Fingerlakes horse Devilshire?

I own a 6 year old OTTB named Devon but his racing name is Devilshire. I was looking at the topic about all the horses rescued from Fingerlakes and I saw him mentioned a few times. He is 6 years old and raced at Belmont Park and Aqueduct when he was younger but he mainly raced at Fingerlakes. He's dark bay and as sweet as can be. And the most amazing thing about him is that he is only 9 months off the track and he is already a great beginners horse (although sometimes he's a little to lazy but I love him) I have only been riding for a few months and Devon has been the perfect horse for me. He acts a little fresh in his stall or in the pasture sometimes but as soon as we get in the arena he acts like he's 16 instead of 6. Anyways I was just wondering if anyone knew him.

Absolutely! He was a beloved boy, owned and trained by Linda Dixon and Hector Diaz. They adored him! What can you tell us about your time with him? I will report to them on Saturday!

Yes, purchased would be a better word to use. Sorry for the mix up.

    Default Devilshire

PM me for the phone number of his previous owners here in New Kent. They took him to several small local shows where he was a total doll baby, and they have several pics of him on the farm. What a total lovebug !

They showed him? Or did they just take him to the shows to get him use to them. Ali never mentioned that they took him to shows.

    Default Devilshire

I mentioned to Chris and Candace that you have some questions about Deville, I'll be seeing them tomorrow, but I'm sure you must have their home number.

PS, it was my horse, With Spirit, who came with Deville, who is now called MAKO, as in shark bait, not Deville.
