I am here to AVOID the elections.
I'm tired of it. Tired of the negativity, the histrionics from both sides, the phone calls from candidates' offices. Tired of the mailbox being stuffed to the brim every dang day with "Vote for MEEEEEEE" flyers which don't get read - they go Directly To Trash, Do Not Pass Eyes.
Just tired of it.
(Yes, I did vote).

I am staying home instead of going to watch the election returns at the party for the local candidate I supported.
Lemme tell ya, it is VERY VERY red and moving west.

Too close to tell, various sites are saying one or the other is slightly ahead. State auditor doesn't have it up yet!
My candidate is putting the whoopin' on his opponent here in the 2nd District though!

We're staying away from the TV, although it's been tempting to glance at MSNBC and CNN to see if the newsreaders have committed Hari Kari yet...
This part of the state is deep red, so it's a non-event locally. The Right-To-Hunt referendum passed 90%/10%, which pisses off the PETA and HSUS kooks -- which is a good thing.

The Rossi/Murray Senate race is in a dead heat (will definitely be recounted).
I live in (legislative) district 2 where JT Wilcox won by a huge amount. He beat out Campbell, a long time incumbent who, let's just say, got very comfy with getting favors for doing things for others AND!! He was endorsed by Ramtha, the however many thousand years old dead guy JZ Knight makes money off of, er, "channels".
The other position was won by McCune (R).

Not sure I'd go for an endoresement by JZ either. ROFL
