I have this weird thing that I like to vote right before the polls close. That way in the close races I like to think it was MY vote that made a difference. (I know that it isn't really true, but I like to tell my husband - You just wait they have not counted MY vote yet!)
Went this morning and actually saw a line there! I live in the middle of nowhere, also vote in the middle of nowhere. Little building that is rented to vote in. Not a machine, booth, or chad, hanging or otherwise, in sight. Everybody at this site votes on paper with pencil, and the attire of the majority is farm clothes. You park on grass outside; there is no paved parking lot. I have only seen a line at this place in 10 years during presidential elections.
\"For all those men who say, \"Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free,\" here\'s an update for you: Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realize it\'s not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage.\"-
This is the second time I have voted at my current polling place, and I was sad to see how few people were there. I guess it's more enticing to vote in the presidential elections rather than for the officials that are actually the voice for your state.
