    Default A reminder--VOTE!

It's your civic duty. Go even if it's raining. Go even if you don't see much to choose from or between. Your vote can make a difference.

Always remember: if you don't vote, you aren't allowed to complain about the elected officials (or ballot measures) later!

Did it three weeks ago just after the early voting polls opened. Looking at the registration roster, we were among the first dozen or so to hit the machines.

I have this weird thing that I like to vote right before the polls close. That way in the close races I like to think it was MY vote that made a difference. (I know that it isn't really true, but I like to tell my husband - You just wait they have not counted MY vote yet!)

Hmmm, if you don't see much to choose from, where does the "difference" come in?

Went this morning and actually saw a line there! I live in the middle of nowhere, also vote in the middle of nowhere. Little building that is rented to vote in. Not a machine, booth, or chad, hanging or otherwise, in sight. Everybody at this site votes on paper with pencil, and the attire of the majority is farm clothes. You park on grass outside; there is no paved parking lot. I have only seen a line at this place in 10 years during presidential elections.

But this morning, there was a line.

This is the second time I have voted at my current polling place, and I was sad to see how few people were there. I guess it's more enticing to vote in the presidential elections rather than for the officials that are actually the voice for your state.

My polling station was very quiet, as usual. Lots of Goodlatte signs right up against the building, violating the law, also as usual. I doubt my vote made a difference but I did it.
Please don't try to be a voice of reason. It's way more fun to spin things out of control. #BecauseCOTH - showhorsegallery
