Default Tortilas not the only top horse changing owners!

Apparently La Biosthetique Sam is for sale, rumored to be going to a British rider.

Tortillas: small, round, flat bread-like things.

    Totilas: stunning dressage stallion.

    Sorry, couldn't resist.

I think that every time I see someone spell that poor horse's name wrong!

But I dare someone to breed to him and name the foal "Guacamole."

This was on eventing nation 5 days ago...

    Check out:

Eventingnation.com so you can find out as soon as it is announced, who that rider will be!

Although, come on now. Won't we all be shocked if it's someone other than Zara? No one else has the intense need and the large sums of cash at their disposal to make *that* deal happen...

I wouldn't be shocked. Zara has made some of her horses, or gotten the rides on friends' former horses. She is not known for buying up big-$$ horses. Zara has worked hard to be where she is, and does ads etc. for the sponsorship money she has.

I think I'd prefer a baby named Flauta.
My horse is a dressage diva so I don't have to be.

No, he needs a baby named Chimichanga. That would be a really great show name for a horse. Perhaps the La Silla folks would be open to a Toto foal.

I would name my Tortilla baby Frijole or Jalapeno.

Delta - don't apologize that is what I get for posting in a hurry. Personally I like Nachos.

Any and all of the above beat the hell out of "Toto." Ugh.

Oh goodness! I wasn't casting aspersions on Zara! She's a lovely rider, and has certainly worked hard....and, had some bad luck of late.

I was just pointing out that she was the only one on that list that had both the *need* as well as the *means* to put that deal in motion... But then, so does Mary (minus, the need).

Back to the original subject... €1 M+ for a gelding???? Talk about high risk-tolerance.

    Tortilas/Totilas baby names I'd love:
    Salsa
    Pico
    Chip
    Fajita!

But onto the original subject, eek, >1M Euro for a gelding??!? Does that come with a soon-to-be-born clone, a la Gem Twist? Could we call the clone SAMIAM??!?

I hope people read the COTH in Germany - spend multi millions for a horse and the chat in America is about fun names for offspring when you spell his name, inadvertently, incorrectly.

Call his babies anything you want do they work the same as the Dad!!!!

I doubt he'd go to zara, she doesn't take on 4* rides. I would imagine Ollie Townend may be in with a chance, he has the financial backing now & it's proven that he can take on a ride & get the results.

Why are there no US riders/owners making a bid here????

If he is going to be sold outside of Germany....wouldn't mind seeing him come here!

My trainer always calls him Tortillas, and I'm afraid to find out if she's joking.
