    Default Glucosamine: SP vs Costco?

So I was wondering if there is some real reason why I shouldn't just buy my horses Glucosamine/MSM from Costco, do the math and crush the suckers up versus buying anything marketed towards the Equine community that seems to cost substantially more but with less product.

I feel like this option is too easy and I may be missing why I shouldn't be doing it this way, which is why I am posting here.

I don't see why you couldn't do this, but MSM and glucosamine are both so cheap I'm not sure that you would really save money.

Actually, it would be cheaper to buy pure MSM for horses and use it on yourself.

    Target's MSM is $16 for 90 1000mg (1gm) capsules.

You want 10gm for a horse, so 10 pills, at $.18/pill, or $1.80/day, bottle lasting 9 days

At Valley Vet, 10lb of Vita-Flex MSM is $52, which lasts 450 days, or $.12/day.

So yeah, horse MSM is a wee bit cheaper than human
