The Boekelo site has English if you click on the Union Jack in the top left.

And now for some good-humored Dutch-bashing:

How To Deal With Dutch People

(I like Holland. I've spent lots of time there. Grew up in countries just over the border. Still think they should have won the World Cup this summer.)

Also, because we need to get inside the heads of the Dutch people to properly understand them...

...this song (NSFW) was a #1 hit in the Netherlands.

And just on general principle, do you have Google Toolbar? It has an automatic translation button; pretty cool feature in this day and age.

GREAT song, but sounds much better with 10k singing along! Bringing me back a couple weeks to Munich...very popular song in the tents! Right up there with Ein Prosit! Ohh, the memories....

Doug and Will did dressage today. Tiana and Sinead go tomorrow. Will had a decent score on the flat with his lovely mare. Doug's test scored MUCH worse than his mom and Sandy Phillips expected. Good luck to all the American riders! Doug has posted some pics on his blog, and the XC looks fabulous.

    Oh dear. Oktoberfest.

    From Spiegel's wrap-up report:

Firstly, and this may come as relief to close observers of Oktoberfest statistics in recent years, items retrieved from the tents this year again included a set of dentures, which had been absent from the list in 2009 for the first time in many years.

One hearing aid was also found, as were a leather whip, a live rabbit, a tuba, a ship in a bottle, 1,450 items of clothing, 770 identity cards, 420 wallets, 366 keys, 330 bags and 320 pairs of glasses, 90 cameras and 90 items of jewellery and watches.

A total of 37 children were also lost.
Please me it wasn't your tuba.

Have you seen that horse go??? That is almost a bad score for him He is very cool. WILD on the ground (a lot of character in that one!)....before you see him go into the ring with Tiana you think there is no way she is keeping him in the ring let alone doing well....and then the game face comes on and they rock!

If he keeps going well....they do have a real shot for 2012. Looking at that leader board....must be a great competition! Scores are all pretty close. Hope jumping goes well for everyone!

OK, now I've caught up on the last six months of your blog, RR. I am once again reminded that I want to be you. Except that I like having my horses in my backyard... so Podunk, Texas it is.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled Boekelo discussion.

I think there's a lot to be said for Podunk and horses in the backyard.

Looks like Will went clean and fast!! Tiana had a few time, but also clean. Aimee withdrew, and from the scoreboard Doug appears to have had a couple of issues (but finished), though no description of what happened.

Default scoreboard click on name gives details

    www.rechenstelle.de
has live results...click on the person's name and it shows detail of each judge's dressage score and detail of cross country faults including which fence and how much time.
site also had on demand video.
