Default Recommendations needed-where to send event horse to be sold

    Hi all-
I have a nice 10 year preliminary mare that I am going to sell. We are leaving to go to New Orleans for the winter in about a month and someone suggested sending her off to be sold instead of doing it myself. I live in Kentucky. Does anyone have a recommedation of a sales barn/trainer that they trust and had a good experience with? Thanks in advance.

Courtney Cooper is a pro at this. Any professional can sell a horse for you, however, this is what Coop specializes in. She sells a VAST amount of horses each year, and horses are sent to her by the likes of Kelli Temple, Will Coleman, etc to be sold.

You can send her to me!

Someone who turns over a lot of horses and is going south for the winter, I'd say.

Ruthie and Andrew Harbison in Wellborn, FL. The southeast eventing season is just getting under way so it's a good time to send them south!

Courtney Cooper could sell snow to an Eskimo... she's very, very good at selling horses, but also a bit on the pricey side.

Jenn O'Neill sold my training/prelim horse for me last year. She found the ABSOULUTE PERFECT match for him. (and he's NOT EASY). I could not be happier with where he is now... and his team just WON the training division at Midsouth Team Challenge.

Jenn is currently going Advanced on her own "That'll Do". She works out of Antebellum in Lexington KY. She has gone south in the past, not sure what her plans are this year. (Although she sold my guy in 2 weeks in Nov. in KY)
    Yes, I ride a pony. No, he's not a re-sale project...

Thank you all for all of the replies...!
Auto Be A Storm-we have a winter home down in NO in Lakeview. My husband is a veternarian here at Churchill and Keeneland and he works the Fairgrounds meet in November-March. Do you have horses down there?
