AJ (Ginger Cookie) - I am so very sorry for your loss. Your father was a fine, caring person. I remember you with the pinto pony (Ah Choo IIRC) - he was so very proud of you - and her too! I miss my father to this day - but he is always in my heart. You will go through some tough times, but one day I promise you will know he is at your side. Forever. Gary - hugs to you and a safe passing.

i am sooooo sorry to hear the news AJ.
when i was having difficulty with my horse that your father had ridden alot, he came up to me and said that i was doing great and keep on trying! he didnt have to tell me that, but it made me feel so much better!
your fathers presence at the horse shows will really be missed! its so sad we are losing all the old time horse trainers that everyone always counted on as a person who you could go train with.
rest in peace gary!
I rode at your father's horse shows at the original Four Seasons Farm and after that, too. He was always so much fun and nice to be around. My old trainer, Ned Marshall, was there to greet him at the Bridge. May they have many laughs and good rides together from now on. Another sad loss
It seems so many of my friends are starting new barns in Heaven. I bought several horses from Gary over the years going way back to the wild west days of Chicago and they were always what he said they were. I have also bought and sold several nice horses to Jay Matter and Jimmy Kohn.
At Harrisburg 30 + yrs ago Gary and I were sitting close to the end gate with several others and Jimmy Kohn. Someones kid came out after having a good go who rode with George Morris. George was hopping and clapping loudly. Jimmy cupping his hands to his mouth hollered down at George....George that's a bit much don't you thank. George turned and looked around and saw it was Jimmy making the loud remark. He (George) looked up at Jimmy only the way George could and said " well Jimmy it worked for you in 19?? didn't it. Everyone roared and Jimmy for once couldn't say a word. Gary laughed so hard.
Gary and Jay came from the hunter ring Jimmy the jumpers and all were wonderful horseman....we well miss all your knowledge humor and stories. Rest in peace my friends
AJ- I'm so sorry for your loss. Your father has always gone out of his way to say good morning to me and how much he like my horses every time I saw him at a horse show..... I will miss him laughing and shaking his head at me when I did something stupid.. You will be in my thoughts and prayers!
